Matt Hudson
Broker / Vice President of OperationsMatt Hudson represents District 101 in the Florida House of Representatives. He was elected to the House in a special election October 2007 to fill the unexpired term of Mike Davis, a good friend and mentor. District 101 spans the state from I-75 in Collier County across to Pembroke Pines on the east coast. Hudson serves on The Policy Council, the Government Accountability Act Council, the Economic Development policy, Energy and Utility policy, Elder and Family Services policy, Healthy Seniors Appropriations, and the Joint Legislative Everglades Oversight committees. Currently he serves as Chairman of the Collier County Legislative Delegation. Prior to serving in the House, Hudson was elected Golden Gate Fire Commissioner in 2002 and re-elected in 2006, serving as Chairman in his first term.
Hudson has a long history of public service. He was a member of the Collier County Productivity Committee from April 2004 to February 2006; member of the Collier County Revenue Commission from June 2003 to January 2005; member of the Collier County Land Trust Advisory Committee from 1993 to 2002 and served as a member of the Sheriff and Clerk of Courts Innovation Group.
Hudson’s community affiliations include the Golden Gate Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) since 1999; Collier Rotary Club since 2002, president in 2007; Director of the Florida Association of REALTORS® from 2004 to 2007; Chairman of the Florida Association of REALTORS® Smart Growth Committee 2007; member of 5 local Real Estate boards; member and former director of the Golden Gate Estates Civic Association; and charter member of the Homeowners Association of Golden Gate Estates.
Hudson is currently one of the 50 largest real estate Brokers in Florida in his role as Vice President of Operations and Broker of VIP Realty Group, Inc. in Southwest Florida. He is also a Licensed Real Estate Instructor and a GRI Instructor for the Florida Association of REALTORS®.
